Good concept for budget travelers. Travel to an unknown destination could be made safer with some of the website that present with up-to-date information regarding destination and other safety travel tips.

Totally NOT buying 29%. Gotta be the most bullshit number I’ve ever seen about spam. I’d be surprised if 0.1% have bought something from spam. That’s all that is required to make it a valid marketing tool still.

Of course, it depends on what they’re considering spam too.

You’ve already pointed out how you (and the rest of us) are getting the short end of the stick when you mentioned:

“I almost never see spam unless I go looking for something accidentally caught.”

We’re all getting shafted every time we have to go wade through that spam and find the email we want.

Sometimes we NEVER get that email because the spam folder is cleaned out.

That’s the cost.

For me, there are 20-100 spam emails / day in that folder so there can be a lot of emails to wade through in there.

I seem to do this wading at least 2 times per month, and about 1 time per month there’s something in there – an order confirmation, etc. that I’m waiting for.

I agree that some payment system is needed to solve this. What would be really interesting is if the user could set what amount they want for their “cut”. While the “cut” for the ISPs was fixed.
